Summary

Going towards the end of the term and the subject like Managing Professional Development I have to think what have I learnt and what improvements were made.
I must say that I have really enjoyed this subject. I have learn a lot about myself, my strengths and weaknesses. What should on should not to do at the interview. But the most important is that I have started looking in the future with plans and aspirations, which I haven't had before. I know more about the person I want to be and what I want to do. There's very long way ahead of my but my first step is done. Now I can only go to better future.
I have developed skills like internet searching and interpersonal skills as well as methods of communication and persuasion.
I am sad that this subject is finishing but I know that it gave me very strong background.

Mind Map

The next sessions were used to create the mind map. I had a lot of fun doing this task. I could learn more about things I have to do before and during the interview. Preparation is the most important. In the mind map I have put pictures, notes, hyperlinkes and have attached files that I have previously done.
The software that I have used is very easy and nice to work on.
I am happy from the results.

Interview

After submitting our first assignment the time came for the second one. As a next task we were asked to prepare a mind map from the MOD interview. We were using special mind mapping software. In my situation the trip to Ministry of Defence wasn't possible so my interview was held by teacher.
I must say that it was very interesting experience but at the same time very stressful for me. I know, however that it will benefit in the future. I was asked various open type questions, about the perfect manager qualities, how would I deal in case of the conflict in the group, how to find out which member of staff deserve a promotion and many different. My answers were accurate, I think; however in few moments my tutor's help was needed. Whole interview took around 15- 20 minutes and I was checked from the moment I have entered the room ill the last minute.
I found it very useful as I will be interviewed many more times in my life and to learn how to do it is essential. It is much better to make mistakes in fictional situations, where I can improve my skills than in real life facing danger of not getting a job or losing points for little mistakes that could be practised previously.
The body language and behaviour is as important, or maybe even more crucial than actual answers, however both should be at the highest possible level.
All in all I was happy but I know that I have to work on my answers and body language because my tutor could say that I was nervous.
I am looking forward to real interview.
